Politics Free PEC

 

Activate PEC with complete independence from political agendas or interference, focusing solely on engineering standards and professional excellence based on merit and engineering expertise; transparently and independently, safeguarding the interests of the engineering community as this is Your Voice, Your Council and Your Future and wanted to save from dirty polarized politics and personal interest groups.

Goal 2:

Promoting Transparency of Proceedings

 

Enhance transparency in decision-making processes and Publish annual reports, disclose financial statements, and conduct public consultations to ensure openness and accountability.

Standardization of Engineering Service Structure and Allowance

 

Tackle the challenge of uniformity and standardized of engineering services structure and their Technical allowance at all forums to create a supportive and rewarding environment that attracts, retains, and develops top engineering talent in Pakistan, contributing to national development and prosperity.

Goal 4:

Young Engineers as Part of Decision Making

 

Shall be made an essential part of the decision making teams and the body. Introduce a mentorship and career development program. Provide mentoring, career guidance, and networking opportunities for young engineers to support their early careers and encourage innovation and leadership.

Women Engineers as Part of Major Decisions

 

Shall be made an essential part of the decision-making teams and the body. Promote gender diversity and inclusion. Support initiatives aimed at encouraging more women to enter and thrive in the engineering profession, including scholarships, mentorship programs, and leadership training in a safe environment.

Active Role of Overseas Engineers in PEC

 

We have to define and think about an active participation of our Overseas Engineers in PEC whether, as part of Governing body or so.

Full Digital Transformation of PEC in Letter & Spirit

 

Improved version of comprehensive online powerful interactive portal for all PEC services including the licensing, renewals, certifications, and document submissions through an integrated digital platform, reducing administrative delays and improving efficiency to minimize the engineer’s visits to PEC offices. Minimizing the physical interactions.

Escalate the Industry-Academia Collaboration

 

Establish formal partnerships between industry and academia. Support in aligning academic curricula with industry needs by facilitating joint research projects, internships, and training programs, ensuring graduates are job-ready with practical skills.

Implement a Developed Model of Continuing Education and Professional Development

 

Strengthening of a robust continuing education program. Offer online and offline courses, workshops, and seminars on the latest engineering trends, ensuring engineers continually upgrade their skills.

DevelopingInnovation and R&D Centers

 

Support in setting up centers of excellence for research and development. Create specialized R&D centers focused on emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, robotics, and nanotechnology, fostering innovation and providing resources for groundbreaking projects which may be utilized for the University Students as well.

Pursue mutual recognition agreements with international engineering bodies. Promote the global mobility of Pakistani engineers through standardized qualifications and international certifications. Represent Pakistani engineers at international forums and advocate for their interests and help to boost the Pakistani economy.

Collaborate with industry stakeholders to identify skill gaps and tailor educational programs accordingly and facilitate job placements and internships for engineering graduates. Advocate for fair employment practices and competitive remuneration for engineers.

The institutionalization of endowment fund created through strategic partnerships and fundraising initiatives shall support long-term educational opportunities for talented individuals, national & international scholarships. It will provide sustainable financial assistance to needy students, covering tuition fees, educational materials, and other essential expenses.

Make the PEC Journal as credible, and facilitator in the exchanging of ideas and collaboration among engineers, researchers, and academics. It shall be utilized for providing a forum for discussing challenges, proposing solutions, and fostering innovation within the engineering profession and be available to all stakeholders and relevant public and private doors.

Place PEC at Global Outreach

 

Global offices of PEC will serve as hubs for networking, professional development, and liaison with international engineering associations and create opportunities for more Pakistani engineers to maximize the foreign remittances which is the dire need of the country.

Help in encouraging partnerships with multinational corporations to facilitate the transfer of technology and expertise suitable for local conditions which shall help in the economic growth of the country and the needs of time.

CurriculumReview and Revision

 

Conduction of comprehensive review of existing engineering curricula to identify gaps, outdated content, and emerging trends in technology and industry. Collaborate with academic experts, industry professionals, and stakeholders to develop revised curricula that integrate theoretical knowledge with practical skills by incorporating courses and modules on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), renewable energy systems, and sustainable engineering practices.

Improvement of Standardized PEC Procurement Documents

 

Improve the procurement documents include clear instructions, evaluation criteria, and terms and conditions that promote fairness and compliance with regulatory requirements in collaboration with contractors, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to gather feedback and improve procurement practices for enhancing transparency, efficiency, and fairness in procurement practices, ultimately supporting the delivery of high-quality engineering projects and services for the benefit of Pakistan and its citizens.
